Get More Time Series #11

We often waste a lot of our time doing things that could be combined. Instead of driving to work; take public transit and read. Instead of scheduling a morning meeting; have a lunch meeting instead. Have you ever considered a standing desk? You get the benefits of a workout while doing your work!

Our time is often wasted by our inefficiencies during the day. Getting into the mindful habit of merging daily tasks is one that will always put you in a good mood as you will find more time to rest and decompress. By merging, you will find that you are able to fit more things into your day that move you forward.

One of the true equalizers in life is that we all have the same amount of time per day. Nobody has more and nobody less time than you! Even though you may feel like you are running out of time every day to get your tasks done, you have no less time than the person sitting beside you. Successful people don’t have more time than unsuccessful people, they are just relentless practitioners of efficient time usage and they do this by task combining.

It is how efficiently you choose to use your 24 hours that determine just how productive and meaningful your time will be.

ACTIVITY – Each time you use the bathroom today (or tomorrow if you are late in your day), practice gratitude! Make a concerted and mindful effort to be thankful for something or someone as you walk to and from the bathroom and when you are there. Really think about why you are thankful for that person, thing, event or whatever.
