Statistician Nathan Yau of flowingdata.com<\/a> created a pretty impressive simulation of how time flies throughout our typical day. He compiled data from the US Bureau of Labor Statistics<\/a> of 1000 working adults and visually represented how they moved from activity to activity depending on the time of day.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

As I watched the hours tick by in this animation, I thought of myself as a dot going from activity to activity multiplied by 1,000 days of my life. When put in this context, I got a good grasp of just how much time I spend on mundane things.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

While our job at Dovico<\/a> is to help you capture time in a timesheet<\/a>, it is up to you to place value in those moments that you are saving. We are all dots moving around from one side to another every day, but what we do in service to one another while we are stationary in our work is how we make our time meaningful and impactful. <\/p>\n\n\n\n
